If anyone can find a factory this good, I’ll give him the key to mine
According to Zorlu Holding President Ahmet Nazif Zorlu, the KORTEKS plant in Bursa is without equal in the world. “If anyone can find a factory this good, I’ll give him the key to mine” he said.
Noting that the Bursa-based KORTEKS plant was Europe’s biggest techno-textile base, Zorlu Holding President Ahmet Nazif Zorlu said “There may be some as big in the Far East but you won’t find this quality. If anyone can, I’m ready to give him the key to this factory.” Relating the story of KORTEKS’ foundation, Zorlu said that they had started out in business with two velvet weaving looms twenty-eight years ago and that achieving what they had today had been no easy task. “In 28 years” said Zorlu, we’ve become a giant manufacturer with an annual production capacity of 580 tons of polyester yarn that exports 60% of its output.” Noting that their next goal was to strengthen their brand image worldwide, Zorlu added “In 28 years we’ve created plants with such good infrastructure that today we’re able to sell know-how to others. The average age of our plants is two years. KORTEKS is in a position to continue competing through renewal investments for another ten to fifteen years. That’s a Zorlu word of honor.” Saying that China did not pose a threat for them, Zorlu asserted that with fifty years of experience, quality, and technology in textiles, they could sell their products anywhere in the world. “For us, there is no Chinese threat”, Zorlu said. “China is a threat for the rest of the world. But we’re even exporting a small part of our production to China as well. The Chinese textile business has problems with product quality and marketing. We have the muscle to eliminate this threat through our quality, trademark, and marketing strategies.”
